The Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 are Samsung’s current flagships in the market, but the South Korean company knows that not everyone can or want to buy them. While some consumers are pursuing devices with best features available, others simply seek the best devices they can get for the money in their wallet. The original Samsung Galaxy Xcover was a rugged smartphone and there’s a rumor that the company will soon launch a follow-up.
A nearly complete list of specs for the Xcover 2 has been posted online and the phone may come with 4” WVGA display, 1700mAh battery, 4GB of onboard storage, 5Mp rear facing camera and microSD card, Like the original, we can expect the Xcover 2 is toughened against the elements and it should arrive with at least Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
There are two basic details missing though; the type of processor and the amount of RAM. It appears, we need to wait a little longer until a more complete specs list is released or until Samsung officially pulls the veil off the Xcover 2. Fortunately, there’s a probability that the phone will get announced at MWC 2013.
