According to an anonymous insider, Samsung may intend to officially unveil the Galaxy S4 Mini later this week; with the actual release date on May or June. Like the bigger Galaxy S4, the mini version will be available in a couple of color variants, White Frost and Black Mist. There will be also dual-SIM and single-SIM variants of the phone. The codename of the dual-SIM version is GT-I9192 and the single-SIM version is GT-I9190.
As a lower mid-range device, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is equipped with 4.3” qHD display, 8Mp rear-facing camera, WiFi, GPS and Nature UX on top of the Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2) OS. The dual-core processor will power the dual-SIM variant and quad-core chip for the single-SIM variant.
Users will also get similar user interface structure like the one used by the full-fledged Galaxy S4 model. Overall, the Galaxy S4 Mini could become a big hit in the budget category, with its relatively fast performance and Galaxy S4-like design.
