While many of us have been busy observing new reports coming out from CES 2013, a highly popular source of rumors; @evleaks, also delivers reports on an upcoming new smartphone. A smartphone to be called Pantech Perception could be ready for release in Verizon’s network. Pantech has also released the Discover HD on AT&T and like the Perception, it also rocks a 720p display.
This would be Pantech’s second HD-equipped handset to grace the United States market.
According to the leak, the Discover will have a 4.8” HD display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. No reports on camera specs, battery capacity and internal storage.
While we still don’t know anything about the price, Pantech is likely not to go away with their typical pricing structure. AT&T’s Pantech Discover is priced at only $49 with a two years contract agreement and we can be hopeful that Verizon’s Perception will also apply the same low price tag.
