For months, it has been speculated that Google and Motorola work jointly to develop the X smartphone. Some said that the Motorola X is actually a brand that’s consisted of multiple models, which are designed to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy lineup. The X smartphone concept was recently published and it gives us a hint on what the upcoming flagship may look like. It is suggested that the phone will include a touch-sensitive control at the back of the phone similar to the Motorola Backflip previously released in Q1 2010.
Inside sources told us that the first global release of Motorola X lineup will take place in July 2013, which nearly coincides with Google’s I/O event in May. The phone may sport a sleek edge-to-edge display design with full HD resolution, long lasting battery and very rugged chassis. In the Android ecosystem, Motorola is widely known for its Droid models, including the Droid RAZR Maxx HD with its long-lasting battery and powerful computing performance.
