The Samsung Galaxy Grand is a more affordable version of the original Galaxy Note with 5” WVGA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone will run Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2) and will be available in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants.
It’s easy to see that the phone will compete with various Samsung handsets, including the Galaxy S3 Mini, which boasts a smaller 4” WVGA display. Those who need bigger processing power should choose the Galaxy Grand instead as the Galaxy S3 Mini uses the slower 1GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor.
While the Galaxy Grand includes a 2Mp front camera and 8Mp rear camera, the Galaxy S3 Mini comes with the less impressive VGA front camera and 5Mp rear camera. The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is already available in stores; but the South Korean company hasn’t unveiled the availability and price details of the Galaxy Grand, but it should be slightly more expensive than the S3 Mini.
