Samsung ATIV Odyssey have made numerous brief appearances and teased us at various presentations. But finally, it has official release date and price. Verizon recently published an update to its website, announcing that the modest Windows Phone 8 smartphone will make its debut and buyers can get it for only $50. Unfortunately, the carrier is known for its obnoxious mail-in rebate habits and subscribers may actually need to shell out $100 when purchasing it.
The Odysseys is a far cry from the more attractive ATIV S that the South Korean company has shown as previously last year, The phone packs a collection of more humble components including 4” WVGA Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 8GB of onboard storage and a rather run of the mill 5Mp rear-facing camera. While this isn’t the most exciting spec sheet, the phone still offers users relatively smooth ride as they scroll through Live Tile and fire up apps.
