Samsung Officially Announces the Galaxy Frame and Galaxy Young
Samsung has refreshed its entry level smartphone lineup with an announcement on the Galaxy Frame and Galaxy Young. The company also generously unveiled complete specs of both devices. The Galaxy Young is an entry-level device with 3.27” HVGA display, 1GB of single-core processor, 768Mb of RAM, 3Mp rear-facing camera, 4GB of onboard storage, microSD card slot (up to 64GB), Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) OS, 1300mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass. The phone also weighs in about 112 grams and measures 12.5mm thick.
The Samsung Galaxy Frame is a slightly more improved model with larger 3.5” HVGA display, 512MB of RAM, 5Mp rear-facing camera equipped with LED flash and autofocus and a VGA front-facing camera. It will be slightly heavier at 120 grams and thinner at 11.6mm. Other details are similar. Both smartphones will be available in various color options including Metallic Blue and Pearl White. There’s no word when both phones will be available, but we may not need to wait for long.
