Two new oversized smartphone models have been rumored and they could be the final reincarnation of the previously speculated Samsung Fonblet. The GT-I9152 or the Galaxy Mega 5.8 will have a 5.8″ qHD display, 8 MP rear facing camera, 1.4GHz dual core processor and a fairly large 2600 mAh battery all crammed into a 10mm thick case. As a DUOS device, the phone should include support for two SIM cards.
The larger Galaxy Mega 6.3 is slated to be powered by the Exynos dual core processor. There will be an 8 MP camera on its back and also a 2 MP snapper above the display.
These devices may arrive in summer running Android Jelly Bean OS coated on top with Samsung’s Touchwiz Nature UX. Judging from the leaked hardware specs; both phones won’t shatter your piggy bank.
Overall, both phones could represent a new Samsung Galaxy family. These so-called Mega phones may be aimed to deliver low-cost, phablet-like experience, which should be a good thing for budget-conscious users.
