A LinkedIn Job Posting Hints Motorola X Phone’s Upcoming Release
Google acquired Motorola’s mobile division in 2012 and later the same year, it was revealed that Google is working on the X Tablet and X Phone. Purchasing Motorola Mobility was a rather attractive proposition at the time, because it had a trove of mobile-related patents that could help Google in its struggle against Apple.
It’s nearly a year since the acquisition and the time is due for the co-developed devices to see the light of the day. Fortunately, Motorola’s X Phone has appeared on a few headlines recently and a recent job posting in LinkedIn further offers a hint on the phone. At this moment, little is known about the Motorola X Phone, but it won’t be too surprising to see it’s released as a 5-inch 1080p handset.
Other predictions say that it will have Key Lime Pie (Android 5.0) preinstalled. It has also been indicated that the X Phone will have an exceptionally long battery life and shatter-proof design. There’s no confirmation about the processor used by the X Phone, but it may use either Nvidia Tegra 4 quad-core SoC or the 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.
